So I would just say that this is not a universal issue. We purchased the unit to create a very short workflow from capture to web and it excels at that, even with the post processing I do, which isn't *necessary* but does put some polish on the finished product. I also highly recommend this unit for simplicity - and the external mic jack is the main selling point for me.
